    A related one, because it produces the same "is it stuck?" feeling: an import that shows "Queued (position N)". Two imports run at a time across the whole service. If both slots are busy — which happens when somebody uploads to several profiles back to back — yours waits, and starts by itself when a slot frees. Nothing is lost by queueing and nothing needs re-uploading. The processing indicator stays visible the whole time; that is how you know it is alive. The genuinely stuck case looks different: the indicator disappears and no sessions arrive. The server's watchdog marks a dead import as failed and tells you to re-upload — and because of de-duplication, re-uploading is safe.

    One more sighting of the same family, worth knowing before you report it: a view that still shows data you just deleted or cancelled. Deletions and cancellations finish in the background, and the app refreshes itself when the cleanup completes. If a chart or calendar looks stale in the meantime, press F5 — browsers cache these pages hard. If it is still there after a refresh and a minute of patience, that is a real bug and worth a report in Bug Reports.     A framing that helps, since this is really a question about what a number over 90 days is for. A quarter-long average is not a better version of last night. It answers a different question — "is the direction of travel right?" — and it answers it best when you look at it rarely. Reading a 90-day average every morning is a way to feel bad about noise: the number moves for reasons that have nothing to do with your therapy, and the wide scope exists precisely so a single bad night stops mattering. If a trend genuinely is moving the wrong way over weeks, that is exactly the thing to take to the person who can act on it, with the printable report from the Reports page in your hand.     One thing worth saying to anybody weighing this up who is new to CPAP data: you do not need the deep-analysis engines to answer your first three months of questions. Usage, AHI, leak and pressure — the numbers that a clinic actually reviews — are all on the cheaper tier. The engines earn their keep for the specific case of "my numbers look fine and I still feel terrible", which is a real and common case, but it is not where anybody starts.

    The practical half: how to make a settings conversation actually go somewhere. Bring weeks, not nights. One bad night is a story; four weeks of the same pattern is evidence. Bring the pattern in one sentence. "Pressure sits at the top of its range for the last two hours and my events cluster there" is something to work with. "I think my pressure is too low" is an opinion, and it will be met with one. Say what you feel, not only what you measured. Bloating, waking gasping, a mask you fight — those are clinical information too, and they are frequently the thing that changes a decision. Ask what would need to be true for a change to be considered. It converts a no into a plan. One change at a time, then wait. Whoever makes the change, changing several things at once and judging it after two nights teaches you nothing. This is the oldest rule in this hobby and it is the most ignored. And if you genuinely cannot get anyone to look at your data — which happens, and is a real problem rather than a personal failing — that itself is worth saying out loud to your GP or family doctor, who can refer.     The follow-up question this always produces, so let us pre-empt it: after the import succeeds, that machine shows up as a BMC device rather than under the name on the box. That is correct and it is your machine. The Luna G3X is manufactured by BMC Medical and sold under a different brand; internally the device identifies itself with the manufacturer's model name, and the app reports what the machine says about itself rather than what the retail box says. Your data, charts and settings are complete — only the label differs. Worth knowing for the same family of machines: their cards use a newer format that some older desktop tools, including released OSCAR versions, cannot read at all. If you have been told your machine's data is unreadable, that may be why.

    Since this is the bug category, the shape of a report we can actually act on: What you did, in the order you did it. What you expected, and what happened instead. Where: which view, which browser or the phone app, roughly when. Screenshots with the numbers cropped out if you would rather not share them — the layout is usually what we need, not your data. What not to put in a public thread: your account e-mail, your device serial number, or a photograph of anything from a clinic. If a report needs your account looked at, the in-app feedback button is attached to it and this board is not.

    Security and luggage. In most countries a therapy device travels as a medical device and does not count against your hand-luggage allowance, and it should travel in the cabin — not in the hold, where it can be crushed or frozen. Expect it to be taken out of the bag and screened separately, sometimes swabbed. A printed line from your supplier or a copy of the prescription is not usually required and is worth carrying anyway, because it converts a five-minute conversation into a ten-second one. Rules vary by country and change — check your airline and your destination rather than a forum post from last year. Water. Empty the humidifier chamber before you fly; carry it dry. Distilled water is hard to find in some countries — bottled still water is what most people fall back on, and a few dry nights are not a catastrophe. Do not fill the chamber from a tap you would not drink from. Hotels. Ask for a room with a socket near the bed; it is a normal request and nobody thinks anything of it. Take a short extension lead if you want to stop thinking about it entirely. Add what you have learned — especially about countries with unusual rules. This thread is more useful the more of you edit it by replying to it.

    And from the shelf's side: tell us when an article is out of date. Machines get firmware updates, apps get discontinued, manufacturers change what their software will export. An article that was accurate a year ago can quietly stop being true, and the person who notices is almost always somebody who just tried to do the thing it describes. Reply under the Library topic itself if it is about that article, or here if it is about the shelf as a whole — a room that is missing a subject, five topics that should be one, an overview topic that sends you the wrong way.

    Two things worth separating, because they get argued as one. Whether the data is being collected is a question about your machine and its modem. Who can read it, and for how long is a question about the portal your supplier and clinic use, and about the account relationships behind it — which can outlive your relationship with that supplier unless somebody removes them. Neither question has a single answer across countries or manufacturers, and neither is answered by the leaflet in the box.     Moisture in the air alone won't help. You have to find a way to breath through the nose instead of mouth breathing. Some people use chinstraps to keep their mouth from opening involuntarily and some even use special mouth tapes. I wouldn't recommend mouth tape but a chinstrap may be worth a try

    Why the distinction is worth the effort, for anyone reading their own charts for the first time. Two events can be the same length and the same drop in flow and mean completely different things. One is a blocked pipe: the effort is there, the airway is not open, and pressure is the treatment. The other is the instruction to breathe not arriving: the airway is open, there is no effort to see, and more pressure is not automatically the answer — sometimes it is part of the cause. Practical points when you look at your own data: Read the event mix, not just the total. The same AHI made of different events is a different night, and a shift in the mix over weeks is a genuine finding. A handful of clear-airway events is ordinary, particularly as you fall asleep and after an arousal. It is runs and trends that carry information. What your machine labels is a best guess from flow. It is a good guess, and it is not a diagnosis; only a study measures effort directly. Which is why the useful output of reading your own charts is a description — this pattern, this often, since this change — handed to the person who can act on it.     The comparison question this article gets asked most often, answered from the data side rather than the sales side. Between a machine generation and its successor, the therapy algorithms are usually close relatives and the detailed data written to the card is broadly the same shape — so if you already know how to read one, you are not starting again. What tends to change is everything around it: the screen, the setup flow, the humidifier and tube fittings, the cellular reporting, and sometimes whether a card slot is present or populated at all. Two practical notes for anyone buying, new or used: Check that the card slot is there and that a card is in it. Some units ship with the slot empty, and a machine that is not writing to a card is not keeping the detailed record you will want later. A card that has never been in the machine holds nothing retrospectively. On a used machine, check the hours counter and the current settings before anything else.     The practical difference between the two routes, since this is the article people land on when they ask what the cloud actually gets. The card holds the detailed night: flow, pressure over time, individual events with their timestamps, leak as a trace rather than a number. It is what makes questions like "when in the night does this happen" answerable. The cloud summary holds the headline: hours, an event index, a leak figure, a pressure figure. Enough to confirm you used it and roughly how it went; not enough to work out why a night was bad. Which is why "my app says my AHI was 4.2" and "I looked at my data" are different sentences. If the only record you keep is the summary, the detailed night is gone once the card is overwritten — cards do get reused, and the oldest detail is what goes first.

No serial numbers, please — they identify your device to anyone reading. Mask — nasal, pillows, or full face, and which one. How long you have been on therapy — one week and fifteen years are equally welcome.
